Robin launches DR401 Lite at Aero Friedrichshafen

Robin Aircraft announced two new models at Aero Friedrichshafen today.

The DR401 Lite  (picture below) is powered by the 118 hp Lycoming engine operating a Duc carbon fibre, ground adjustable, propellor. A version fitted with the Rotax 915 engine is intended in the future.

The aircraft is an EASA certified two seater, with a MTOW of 800 kg. The design of the fuselage is identical to other DR401 models, but less material is used in the construction, thus lowering the masss and the price.

The DR401 Lite is aimed at flying schools and is extremely keenly priced at only €142,596 + VAT.

The DR401 200 I is powered by the Lycoming IO360 200 hp engine giving a fast cruise of 145 KTIAS and a take-off run to clear 15 m of 320 m. Starting price is €244,802 + VAT.
