Further reduction in DR401 diesel maintenance costs!

Last year, the introduction of a dual mass flywheel in place of the clutch removed the requirement for clutch replacement at 600 hours. Now, CEAPR (Robin Aircraft’s sister company for maintenance) has taken over responsibility for the airworthiness STC for the installation of Continental Diesel engines in all Robin aircraft with further cost savings:

CEAPR have confirmed that all fuel, oil and coolant hoses listed in their STC installations with a CEAPR part number are not subject to the previous 60 month replacement schedule. Instead, the hoses are to be inspected every 100 hours and replaced ‘on condition.’ The potential saving to the operator is up to €4,000 + VAT every five years.
