An easy 1·2 mile walk from Finmere airfield: beside the runway and then along footpaths.
Finmere is one of the best kept secrets in the area—a 10 metre by 700 metres tarmac strip set into the old concrete runway. The taxiways are in excellent condition, and the hangars and the pilots lounge are all very smart. It is listed in flight guides as a microlight field because, according to one of the residents, there used to be a microlight school there. The published circuit matches the microlight description but a wider circuit shown in the video below can still avoid all the noise sensitive areas.
